Rules

1 - Names

First and lastnames of prominent or fictional people and cartoon characters are not allowed! The user has to be adviced to change the name.
False names are allowed as long as it is a realistic name. If an user is called "Martin Schneider" in real life he is allowed to call himself "Michael Schmidt" for example.
Abbrevations are only allowed for firstnames and only if they are common and not a nickname. Examples:

• Benjamin Schneider Schmidt [ok - just a normal, full name]
• Ben Schneider Schmidt [ok - a common abbrevation for the name Benjamin]
• Benni Schneider Schmidt [not ok - Benni is a nickname]
• B. Schneider Schmidt [not ok - no full abbrevations at all]
• Benjamin Schneider [ok - users are not forced to use their FULL name, if they dont want to]
• Benjamin Schmidt [ok - users are not forced to use their FULL name, if they dont want to]

Changing names is only allowed if the user misspelled his name, his real name changed (e.g. because of a marriage) or he wants to use an allowed abbrevation (or dont want to use it anymore). Please keep the number of changes small!

2 - Shoutbox

Posting links to external websites is allowed as long as it is not a direct competitor of Onlinetennis. For example links to amazon.com or even hattrick.org are ok, but links to e.g. thetennisgame.com are not allowed.

3 - Banning

Its not allowed to remove any ban of an user without talking with the admin who set the ban first. If a ban was given by autoban its allowed to remove the ban. Add a comment why the ban was removed!
You are only allowed to ban people from your own community. If you find abuses in a foreign community, report it to a native mod or gm. If a foreign user abuses in your shoutbox, give him a temporary short ban (few hours) and report it to a native mod or gm as well for a real ban.

4 - Multi Accounts

Each user is allowed to maintain one account. If there is more than one account, every further account has to be deleted after consulting the user which one he wants to use.
If more than one user uses the same IP address (school, company, home), this has to be told to the administrators. If an user does this, this has to be stated in the comments of all affected users.

5 - Bug using

Using bugs or malfunctions in the game is not allowed. If a bug occurs, it has to be reported to support@onlinetennis.net.
Not reporting any bugs that occur or even using it to the advantage of the user will lead to penalties up to the deletion of the users account.

6 - Sharing tactics and training

It is not allow to share tactics and training settings the the shoutbox or the official Onlinetennis forum.
Though it is not prohibited to share them by ingame message, external forums or email.
