The username stands for your account at Onlinetennis. You login with it and you and your data are identified with it. Your username is unique in the whole game.
Your email address is needed so that we can contact you. It has to be a real address because after the signup process we will send you a confirmation code where you have to click on. Later in the game you have the possibility to send a new password to this address if you lost your old one.
To be sure that you did not do a spelling mistake please type in your email address once again.
In the game every player is called by his or her first and last name. This way the game feels much more real than using fantasy names, so please use your real name. If you absolutely do not want to tell us your real name, you can use an invented name, but it should sound real, so it does not bother the other players.
Examples (pretending your name is Martin Schneider):
Martin Schneider (ok)
Andy Roddick (not ok, apparently not the real name)
Markus Schuber (ok, this sounds like a real name)
Our moderators are checking all names from time to time. Please understand that you might get a request to change your name if you break this rule.

Your player has a homeland too of course. Here you can independently of you own origin choose the country you want to play for.
You player has to learn a lot, but he has some basic values at the beginning as well. These are later always changangle by the training anyway.
- Allrounder: You have neither special advantages in your game nor any disadvantages. That makes it hard for your opponent to calculate.
- Baseline Player: You know how to play from the baseline, but you have problems when the ball is played short over the net.
- Serve & Volley Player: Right after the service to the net and do the point, that is your game. But if this does not work you will get problems.
- Tactican: You can read a match like no other. Against a power player this is not enough sometimes anyway.
- Fighting nature: The match can last 5 hours, you keep running the baseline up and down. But against intelligent players you sometime simply have no way to do the point.
